The next step of the process is personalized teaching: where the coach and client are in collaborative learning mode which leads to informed action (see the &quot;Core Coaching Method&quot; for details on the first two steps of the coaching process) </span></span></p><p><span class="pmain"><span style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Arial">Now the fun begins! <b>Whenever an individual steps up to a goal or a challenge that is bigger than what they have done in the past, any pattern of feeling, thought or action that is in conflict with the new desire will rise to the surface and present a problem! </b>Typically this is experienced by the client as &quot;being stuck&quot; or ?confused. This is when the coach needs powerful tools to help the coachee &quot;see&quot; (become aware) of where an existing pattern is in conflict with the new desire. Let's look at how this works: </span></span></p><p><span class="pmain"><span style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Arial">Sometimes when we have a big new objective and a clear action plan we get right to work and things go exactly as planned.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>But, more often we do lots of things that don't add up to the desired result (ie. actions that are not in &quot;concert&quot;) OR we don't do the specific things that would lead to the desired result because of some inner conflict - we hold ourselves back. </span></span></p><p><span class="pmain"><span style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Arial">In either case, expanding awareness is the solution. When the client is aware of his or her own greatness, they take actions that lead perfectly to the desired result. When the client is aware of an inner conflict that is holding them back - often this requires deep conversation - they can find a way to resolve it and get moving again. Feel Fully<br /></span></b><span style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Arial">are the physical sensations we have in our bodies - like a feeling in my gut or I &quot;know&quot; in my heart. These are more than metaphors! The physical sensations are real and they open the door to our emotions. The inner conflict occurs when we <b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal">RESIST</b> specific feelings or the situations that trigger them. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes"></span>For example, I know I need to make this phone call ( I really want to make it!)<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>but when I think about it I get a ?bad feeling? in my gut so I put it off until tomorrow.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span><p /></span></p><p><span style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Arial">It goes both ways! Feelings in the body can trigger thoughts AND thoughts can trigger feelings.</span></p><p><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal"><span style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Arial">Thoughts - Mind ? Think Clearly<br /></span></b><span style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Arial">?We become what we think about? ? Earl Nightingale<br />Thoughts are a major source of energy that affect our ability to fulfill out desires.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>When our thoughts are clear our actions are energized.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>When we <b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal">REACT</b> to a situation (often emotionally) ? and the mind starts to ?spin? we waste a LOT of energy and our actions can range from ineffective to counter-productive.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>When our mind is in full reaction mode we typically isolate ourselves ? when we are open the support of others is readily available.<p /></span></p><p><span style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Arial">At their best, our thoughts are the clear connection between body and soul. </span></p><p><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal"><span style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Arial">Actions ? Soul ? Act in Concert <br /></span></b><span style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Arial">Action have many, many forms: moving, talking, writing, creating, building.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Our actions are our creative expression in the world.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Often we attempt to <b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal">CONTROL</b> the actions of others or the outcomes of events in an attempt to ?make it happen?.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Sometimes this does lead to the desired result but with a high cost of stress or negative feelings.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>Mostly it leads to frustration!<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal"><p /></b></span></p><p><span style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Arial">The path to fulfillment is greatly enhanced by trusting the support of ?the universe? for your good intentions and acting in concert with what is happening around you.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>This, of course, is easier said than done ? but it does work.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span></span></p><p><span class="pmain"><b><span style="COLOR: #0061aa; FONT-FAMILY: Arial">It's all about moving energy</span></b></span><b><span style="COLOR: #0061aa; FONT-FAMILY: Arial"><br /></span></b><span class="pmain"><span style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Arial">During our lives we participate in and are the witness to a WIDE variety of experiences. Some of these experiences happen over and over again and have the effect of &quot;conditioning&quot; our thoughts and feelings. Often these conditioned thoughts become beliefs - all beliefs become limiting sooner or later. Often these conditioned feelings are stored in the body as energy ? for example, that uneasy feeling in your stomach when you feel that someone doesn't like you. </span></span></p><p><span class="pmain"><span style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Arial">Finally, many &quot;one-time&quot; events are traumatic to us in some way and also have the effect of causing limiting beliefs and stored energy.</span></span></p><p><span class="pmain"><span style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Arial">When we avoid taking an action in the direction of our intentions, it is because there is some energy (thought or feeling) that is creating resistance.</span></span></p><p><span class="pmain"><span style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt;
